What We Believe

Catholics are Christians. We believe Jesus is the Son of God, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate and was crucified died and was buried.  Jesus died while nailed to a wooden cross in Jerusalem in atonement for our sins. On the third day Jesus rose from the dead and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father in heaven. Jesus died for our sins so that we may have eternal life with him. Jesus will come again to judge the living and the dead. 

Catholics believe in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. 


We read the Bible and use scripture in our daily worship during Mass.  During the consecration at Mass, the bread and wine is transformed into the body, blood, soul and divinity of Jesus in the Eucharist. The Eucharist is the source and summit of our Catholic faith. Catholics have a personal relationship with Jesus. 

Catholics do not worship Mary, but we have great reverence for her.
