Congratulations during this exciting time for you and your family!
Infant Baptism: As you prepare your child for Baptism we want to welcome you into our Sacred Heart Community. Our Baptism preparation is called Belonging. It involves two sessions where you will get to know other couples from Sacred Heart and start fostering relationships that help you to feel like you Belong as well.
For the English-speaking classes, sessions are monthly on the second and fourth Sundays of the month following the 9:30 Mass. Sessions run from 10:30am-12:30pm. Spanish sessions are the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of the month from 5:00-7:00.
The Role of Godparents: As you discern who will be your child’s Godparents we invite you to view the 5 minute video to learn more about the important role of Godparents and the requirements. We also invite Godparents to attend Baptism sessions with you or at the church where they belong.
Adult Baptism: If you are an adult preparing for your own Baptism, you must undergo a period of preparation before receiving the Sacrament. This preparation is called the catechumenate and is designed to bring the faith of the candidate to maturity. Through the process, the catechumen is exposed to the life of faith, the liturgy and the love of the people of God through the rites of initiation. CLICK HERE to learn more about becoming Catholic. Contact Joan Miller for details to guide you through the necessary steps of preparing for and celebrating the sacrament of baptism. All dates for Baptisms must be scheduled through the parish office staff.
