Imagine…that your child looks forward to attending Mass each week;
Imagine…that your child knows the prayers that have provided comfort to Catholics since the time of the very first Christians;
Imagine…that your child lives in a world where the love of Christ is firmly imprinted in his or her heart;
Imagine…that our Catholic faith gives each child the strength to weather the challenges life presents; and the moral character to know what is right and what is not;
Imagine…that your child holds the truth of the Church throughout their entire life.
I ask you, what more can we want for our children?
This is our goal, too, and we invite you to join us in nurturing this future for your child. Our program, and our commitment, is that we might grow a generation of youth who know Christ and recognize him in our Church: in the grace of the sacraments, in the prayers that are a part of our lives, and the community that supports us in times of sorrow as well as joy.
More than ever, our culture recognizes the fact that the core of faith begins at home – church is not a building, but a home. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches us that, “Through the grace of the sacrament of marriage, parents receive the responsibility and privilege of evangelizing their children. Parents should initiate their children at an early age into the mysteries of the faith of which they are the ‘first heralds’ for their children. They should associate them from their tenderest year with the life of the Church.” CCC 2225
But as sincere as you might be about directing the faith of your child, you may not know how to go about it. We are here to guide and support you as you embark on this journey. Through the many programs that we offer, including adult as well as youth faith formation, we hope to inspire a home that helps your child become Catholic in not just what they Do, but in who they ARE.
