The Season of Lent
Minimize

Lent began with Ash Wednesday, February 18.

40 years ago, Catholic in the United States wanted to respond to famine in Africa. Could we feed the hungry through Lenten prayers, fasting and almsgiving? The answer was yes -- and it came in the form of a small cardboard box. 40 years later, it still does.

Join Sacred Heart Parish as we participate in CRS Rice Bowl this Lent. Each week of Lent, CRS will profile one country. Watch below for the video for each week. CLICK HERE to visit the CRS page and learn more about each country, to find a recipe from that country that you can make at home, and do your part to help the world!

Loving God, help us to remember the inherent dignity of all people.
