Welcome to Sacred Heart Catholic Church!
We invite you to join us for Mass and to participate in some of our many activities. If you would like to learn more about Sacred Heart, or need to contact us, please click here.
Look who came to Smash on Wednesday, September 23? Some of you thought that Pope Francis was limiting his visits to locations on the east coast, but he made a surprise visit to Sacred Heart Youth Ministry. Luckily, the students were able to convince him to join them in a group selfie!!
Almost every Sunday during 9:30 Mass, children (ages kindergarten and older) are invited to join Mary Zug for Children's Liturgy of the Word. The students leave church for a brief time to hear the readings from the Children's Lectionary, and to discuss what is happening all around us in our Church. Parents, encourage your children to join Mary if they would like. Parents are also invited join the group - especially when there are many children participating! This is a wonderful opportunity for the children of our parish to learn what we do at Mass.
Pancake Breakfasts are back! About once a month, the Sacred Heart Church Knights of Columbus provide a pancake breakfast to anyone who might enjoy great food a fun fellowship! Pancake breakfasts are held in the parish center and donations go to support our parish, our school and our community. We are thankful for the generosity of our parishioners and the loyal dedication of the Knights of Columbus!
The need for blood is ongoing and can support the health and recovery of many people of all ages, including some who are very close to Sacred Heart! On September 3, the Knights of Columbus held a blood drive in the parish center. From the looks on the faces of the donators on the left, the process was fairly painless! Watch the bulletin and this web site for upcoming blood drives at Sacred Heart and consider donating. Contact JoAnn Fischer at (515) 865-3779 with questions.
The Knights of Columbus from Sacred Heart spend a great deal of time volunteering in and around the area raising money to support our church, to help our school and our community, and to assist those who need support. On Sunday, August 30, our Knights gave out Tootsie Rolls for donations made to help those with intellectual disabilities. As you can see, they not only raised money but they had a great time!
